Of the two, i'd say the 808. But out of all the walkman models i think the wm-501 is the most beautiful.

Absolutely. The pictures hardly do it justice. The way the the light catches the walkman logo is something else. Plus, i am a fan of straight lined, square edged simplicity. It's super sleek and stylish in real life with the back and front protrusion being brushed aluminum and the rest of the front having a matte finish.
But everyone has their preferences.

Yes, you're right, and I indeed know as my work is related to professional photography. Photographing reflecting surfaces like metal or glass is a difficult task. I 'suffered' a lot to photograph my silver-plated WM-701S:
In this shot that I did in a studio, I used only one diffuse flash light (with a soft box) and I took 4 different photos of it (variing the reflections) that I finally blend all together to achieve this result.
Did you shot yours in a studio or are they home made?
