GREEN WALKMAN
Here we have my favorite color " GREEN ". Which among colors is pretty hard to find these days. It will always remain a mystery why by far the majority of Walkman are Black or Silver. The WM-EX9 that changes colors from different viewing angle and type of lighting does have a very green color see single photo of this model below.
ALSO see my earlier TOPIC GREEN WITH ENVY many more photos of these models.

I wish to see the photos, John, to enjoy them.
I'll add my green units. I have very few green walkmans, but I'm pretty sure that all them are absolutely very rare and all top-class models.
First one is the ultra-rare green SONY WM-DD, which is one of the world's rarest walkmans. And probably the world's first green walkman. And very elegant also!
Second one is the also extremely rare AIWA P07, same model that Marty McFly wore in the famous Back to the Future movie, but in green color:
Sad that it's not in mint condition :-(
Third one is the also ultra-rare AIWA G09 in green. This one has the strongest green of all by far. It's very beautiful and eye-catching!
Last one is the AIWA RX50, a non-recording -and slightly different- version of the famous JX50 (JX505 outside asian markets):
And finally: the four together:
Hope you enjoy!
PS: Add your units!

@Hurodal
Except the RX50 is based on a later updated transport than the JX50. It shares more in common with the 70 series such as the PL70 and RL70 than those from the 50 series like the JX50 or F50.

Beautifully done shades of GREEN Hugo. And Rare models indeed in such a color. Thank you for adding your GREEN's to the Topic.

@Plop: thanks for the info. Interesting. I made my statement based in that the buttons setup is very close to the JX505.
@John: Thank you for starting it. You have a impressive collection of green models!

How much would I expect to pay for a green Walkman DD (provided I could find one...)?
walkman.archive - 2012-10-23 04:32
I don't expect to find one for less than 350-400 euros; it's a extremely rare unit...

Hi all,
These are my turquize (green and blue) set of walkmans.
They don't look good on most PC displays but they are very majestic and impressive.
These eye candies are mostly Japanese models.
The reason the turquize walkmans are available only in Japan and Asian models is the symbol status behind them; The word green in Japanese and Chinese has a meaning that covers both blue and green; the color blue symbolizes spiritualism and higher consciousness while green represent spiritual balance. Japanese has two terms that refer specifically to the color green, midori which is derived from the classical Japanese descriptive verb midoru 'to be in leaf, to flourish' in reference to trees (wiki). In Chinese blue and green are traditionally considered shades of green hence turquize represent both of them: Spiritual balance.
Some players have both blue and green shades from different viewing angle and type of lighting like the WM-EX9 that John Edward mentioned, blue from one angle and green from the other angle like the Sharp MiniDisc MD-MT77.
From right to left: Panasonic RQ-S15, National RQ-SA15, AIWA HS-J9, AIWA HS-R9, AIWA HS-PL55.
Bottom: Toshiba Walky KT-CS1 (with detachable speakers) and Sharp MiniDisc MD-MT77.
I Hope you enjoy my green spiritualism
Take care

Green spiritualism ....Just kidding
I just put the curtain on the floor.
Thanks for the complement.

Lion absolutely GRAND to see more shades of green Walkman. Aiwa in the earlier days had some of the most beautiful colors and finishes around. That National RQ-SA15 really caught my envious eye ;-) Thanks so much for adding more wonderful GREEN WITH ENVY Walkman to the topic. And the Curtain background definitely Original
And excellent job on sharing the Asian thinking behind Green/Blue and the spiritual combining symbolism both together. Did not know these facts.
That Toshiba CS-1 in Green/White is a real rarity in that color combo including green grills. Your a lucky collector. Fun super mini boomer and love the detachable player with FM Tuner pack. I have it in the common silver.

OH YES Renalto I totally forgot about your Legendary WM-F5 all color collection. That Green F5 definitely belongs here. Thanks for adding

I believe that the J09 and the R9 have a very similar color than my green (mostly turquoise) G09, right?

Yes it is.
It's very hard to get the actual color with today's LCD displays but it is an amazing color.
I guess because this color is too spiritual so you can never get the real thing

Poem Written at Morning
A sunny day's complete Poussiniana
Divide it from itself. It is this or that
And it is not.
By metaphor you paint
A thing. Thus, the pineapple was a leather fruit,
A fruit for pewter, thorned and palmed and blue,
To be served by men of ice.
The senses paint
By metaphor. The juice was fragranter
Than wettest cinnamon. It was cribled pears
Dripping a morning sap.
The truth must be
That you do not see, you experience, you feel,
That the buxom eye brings merely its element
To the total thing, a shapeless giant forced
Upward.
Green were the curls upon that head.
