Great find. They are getting harder to find nowadays. Always best to be lucky and have a boxed example. Came in silver and black the silver seems the harder to find color. Great to use with digital or analog music. I find it much better than a digital EQ.

Great find. I've seen a boxed one a few time ago, but it was expensive.
i have a few, both black and silver, but personally don't like the sound, as it adds a LOT of background noise.
i find the Eq in the aiwa G08, i.e., a lot better.
however, it's indeed a very cool gadget.

The background hiss may be to do with the cheaper carbon resistors used in the SEQ50. Swapping them out for metal film may well see a reduction in noise.

I have a supertech one

Oh, that's very interesting. Thanks for the tip, Plop. So if I manage to replace all 'carbon resistors' (I don't know what's that) for 'metal film resistors' the noise will be reduced a lot?
I don't think I can do, but maybe I can find someone that does for me so we can know what performance can it achieve...
Hmmm, I'll try.

It just so happens I have a bag of metal film resistors suitable for such an upgrade. If only I build up the motivation to replace them. There are many to swap out.
The service manual clearly identifies all the carbon resistors used.

I understand. Well, so maybe it's worth to try it to see the upgrade...
Thanks for the tip. I have the service manual also :-)

Wooow, i used to remember owning one of those back in the day, i only used to buy either Sony/Aiwa walkmans, they were the best. Sony for clarity Aiwa for good Bass.
