To my taste, I'd opened up a bit the frame and take the photo from a slightly upper point of view, so the tape in first plane could be bigger in the image and fill up a big area in the bottom half.

Yes, that's is closer to what I was referring for.
Another thing that I'd change is the cable. I mean: why does appear a cable and not the headphones? the cable is pressed by the tape cases; why? That doesn't look so good 

Why don't you simply put the headphones in the background (for example, in the upper right corner, that now is very clean?).

Of course, all this I say with not as a critizism, just as my sincere help  and personal opinion...

Haha, I like your comments! I wasn't planning to take a pictures at all in the first place... This was just a quick shoot as I had the Walkman in my pocket and was in that room. The tapes are actually part of my daily music tapes... 

The headphone isn't there... It is a newish kind of Sony MDR-300ZX or something. A blue one lol... Doesn't fit the picture at al with all the vintage stuff... But I liked the golden connector haha...

I will ask a pro to take a pic, whem everyting comes together
