Greetings all. I have just seen a pair of sennheiser HD 540 reference gold headphones on ebay Germany. They are really beautiful headphones, and come in a lovely wooden case. They are very sought after headphones. They are in mint condition.
I put a few bids in, but i fear they will go for huge money. Here is the item number 320589673218. Maybe someone can put a link on here so people can see them. They are worth a look.

They do look nice, but big can head gear isn't really my cup of tea since I suffer from hot ears wearing them

Thanks plop. I can see these going for 400-500 euro. You won't find many of these for sale on ebay. So worth the money i reckon.

I would pay 100 Euro tops for these headphones. That kind of money will certainly get you a better pair these days, at least sonically since you can have an HD555 or 595 for that kind of money used. They are beautiful but I wouldn't say< they are well suited for today's use. Without proper amplification they are useless.

Nice, but, i think i`ll stick with my grado SR325i`s. I upgraded, from my much used SR80`s.
