transwave5000 - 2010-08-06 20:29

Fisher Studio Standard Stereo system

transwave5000 - 2010-10-12 16:36

I should get another item in here Smile

ao - 2010-10-12 21:59

One of my favourite S2Go threads, keep up the good work.

walkgirl - 2010-10-13 03:56

I think I need such a ministack for my new old loudspeakers Big Grin Smile

transwave5000 - 2010-10-13 10:18

Here's a "cheap n nasty" Fisher.

transwave5000 - 2010-10-13 10:23

Someone had two Onkyo decks for sale.

davelc2 - 2010-12-05 22:33

Sansui had this rack system that I used to drool over how rich it sounded. I couldn't afford since I was like 14 or 15yrs old. The system had a 10 band eq and the speakers sort of looked like these. The was a 10" woofer and plus a passive radiator. It had some awesome bass!

daiwa - 2010-12-06 16:01

NICE Dave! Talk about rattling the foundation!

ffatlac3 - 2010-12-07 12:14

Loving some of these older silver units..many moons ago, around 1990, I had an old (late 70s?)National Panasonic stack that I'd hassled a girlfriends parents for..all analogue, not an LED in sight..a friend of mine was called to go and spend some time at "Her Majesties' Pleasure" and asked me to look after for him the only thing he had that he couldn't bear to lose..a Bose 5 speaker system..WOW did that lot rock! Obviously after the 6 months I handed back the Bose but always swore I'd score a set like that of my own but never did.
About a month ago I got a phone call from my sis in law saying they were getting rid of some stuff, bro in law was going to the dump, did I want a TV surround system before it got slung out? Couldn't bear to see electrical gear get thrown out without checking it out first so said "yeah, why not,i'll have a look"..about half hour later he turned up at the door with a black stand in each hand...and in the back of the car was the rest of it...full Bose acoustimass 6 setup!!! Apparently she had persuaded him to get rid because she didn't like all the wires around the place Laugh Out Loud
Now has pride of place in my guyroom, along with the very nice Yamaha amp he let me have with it Cool

davebush - 2010-12-07 14:30

cant believe your bro in law was gonna throw away any type of bose......your a lucky lad to get it for nowt.....those things go for fortunes on ebay..............well done mate

ffatlac3 - 2010-12-07 14:53

For sure,I'd never even noticed it round their place..apparently it was tucked away in the gym!
Still grinning from ear to ear now every time I strike the decks up Big Grin

Its a rebranded Aiwa 22 stack.

reli - 2010-12-07 17:18

Man, I'd LOVE to have this Telefunken.......Got so many lights it looks like Star Trek! How often do you ever see a light for each individual button? Awesome! I heard they are a nightmare to work on, though.

This system somehow reminds me of the Fisher PH-490/492...

Nah, it was totally open. Several high-end tape decks were like that.

2steppa - 2010-12-26 02:07

My Sansui was like that, no door.

ao - 2010-12-27 12:22

reli - 2010-12-27 12:49

aha, the old JPW Gold Monitors, as I live & breathe, Cris. You went to Richer Sounds, or was it a car-boot bargain?

transwave5000 - 2011-02-04 16:11

Sansui monster stack

jonathan.james.pfeiffer - 2011-03-27 21:33

I have this. Upstairs. In my room. A 1983, High Speed, DC INTEGRATED, KENWOOD AMPLIFIER. I currently use it very often, I have it hooked up to 8 speakers. It's a part of the most mixed-matched stack ever. I also have an RCA radio/CD player/Alarm clock/Equalizer/mp3 Player with Bass Boost hooked up to it. And an old Fisher Visual Equalizer hooked up to it. There's wires running all through my room. There's 2 Polk Audio, 2 Bose, 2 Optimus, and 2 RCA speakers, all of which I found lying around the house except the RCA speakers. I need more speakers... And more 1983 kenwood audio equipment. I love how well there stuff is made. Everything is in working order. But it gets hot up there so I'll just have to use my Sony CFD-440 to walk around with come summer time. get me and my friends a piece of card board. Wait, someone tell me where I can get cassette tapes that are good to breakdance to.

transwave5000 - 2011-06-06 12:33

Here's an ultimate stack

Phase Linear.
