If you only have so much room and have to choose between a graphic and a Dragon?
Not hard!
seb968 - 2014-07-21 05:29
Dragon every time!

Walkman Archive, looks great... would the heat build up be an issue with everything stacked like that? Or were they arranged like that for the photo?
autoreverser - 2014-07-21 13:01
hey hugo,
love that rx-505 best, you might not know, but you're missing the best - an EUMIG FL-1000u !

Yes, indeed! ;-)

I don't think it's an issue. I didn't make them work for long runs but didn't notice this can be a problem yet.
No, it's the actual configuration, it's not just for the photo.

I didn't focus on that deck as wasn't aware of it being an outstanding deck. If I was to add one i think it will be a Tandberg 3014 or a TEAC 8030S...
This RX505 is awesome. really. I love it too :-D

Had this Kenwood M-450 Midi system since new:
In terms of options it came with the original Kenwood SRM-200 ashwood rack, GE-450 equalizer and P-26 semi-auto turntable. I have since added to the setup also the better GE-850 equalizer and upgraded the original X-45 tapedeck, which I still have with the better X-85 one (adds amorphous heads, Dolby HX Pro, nicer designed backlit tape wells to the already respectable specifications of the X-45 - Dolby B/C, rec level and bias adjustment incl. autobias etc.). With the two equalizers and behind the smoked glass of the Kenwood rack it looks pretty hypnotising at night:
I love these systems for their user friendliness - everything operates with one remote, a lot of advanced features (computer assisted CD --> tape recording) and reliability is simply outstanding. Looking to upgrade the turntable to the full auto P-66 model.

Also you have Three to my Two WM-800's
So YOUR Collection is better than mine
Plus you have the box to the Orange button Walkman, very good

This is one of our more popular threads, let's keep the walkman stuff in the correct section.
If it don't stack then it doesn't belong here

This arrived today Yes a Sunday!!
Always regretted selling my SL-D2 in the late 90's & have been searching for a nice one that's not stupid money like most on Ebay!!
After a day spent cleaning oiling the bearings & cleaning again, we have a minter & after ripping a couple of tracks to my computer, the difference between my old midi type Sony turntable & the Technics is staggering Am using a battery powered pre-amp for the best sound quality & with a new Audio Technica cartridge (already ordered) ripping records will be a real joy These Technics decks..........You cannot beat em!!
