Dynaco clone amp I built a while ago for client and rebuilt of real Dynaco st-120

retrodos - 2012-12-03 10:44

Here a chip amp I custom builted for someone, that was looking for something more modern but based of a dynaco st-120, bought chassic off DAL audio, custom built  the amp myseft, had PCB done in china and other parts bought off digikey and eBay. Is true HiFi blows most amps out of the water when it come to detail, as use gainclone design and modify it.

Also rebuilted a old real Dynaco st-120 amp, replaced almost every component except transformer, case, powercord and switch. Was in very poor condition before, case was corroded and parts worn out. looking for the original pre-amp at a good price. Watch video below of rebuilted.

Beautiful retrodos, nice one. Old tube amps, is one of my loves. I have a rogers cadet 3 pre/power, rogers HG88 MK3, Fisher x100 receiver. Always wanted a radford sta25+sc22. Too much money. The good old dynaco SCA35, is another classic.

What would the cost be for a restoration of a ST-120??
