Seriously Mr Blofeld, you must be sitting in your armchair, stroking you cat and planning taking over the world with a PC as powerful as that! Having one qualifies as a megalomaniac but two??

damn i have been rumbled haha it's a zx spectrum 48 haha.....wish sombody would take me up on this offer....a 3k pc ain't bad for a round trip to germany......i would like these speakers so damn much.....there wern't many made as they cost 2k back in 1999 the best speakers technics ever made......wish i hadn't sold my grails now as i would have traded them all for somebody to pick up these speakers

retrodos - 2012-12-24 15:34

I won't waste 2k on any technics speakers, or anything over $200. Technics didn't really make any reference speakers, or that I would consider HIFI. You can do much better for the cost you are willing to pay, or giveup. You can get well over 1k in the parts alone just for the parts by selling on eBay, why take less, it silly and your about to make a big mistake?

Do you have an auction link Reno?

retrodos - 2012-12-24 17:25

You just spented, so much on that machine recently, your better off keeping and enjoying it, otherwise weeks later you will just end up spending more unnecessary money to built a new computer. Never buy on impulse, the speakers you have are pretty decent as it is. If you really want something better, ask advise, as it free and do your homework first, then save towards it instead.

Better to spent the money on a nice stereo rack and speaker stands with spikes and noise isolation material for the room to reflex the sound better. Will improve the sound quailty overall. Otherwise without good isolation material and position of the speaker, you could have the best speakers and won't do you any good, their more to getting the best sound, then just the speakers as sound travels thur air and you have to know how to bounce it.

Better to ask advise first then to just buy on impulse. At least then you will get better bang for your money, if you still decide to buy them, or wait it out. Could wait till it's in flight plan, to take you up on offer, but not worth robbing you, as that what I would be doing, as no technics speakers are worth over a 2k system, or near that. But then again where that shed, I keep hearing about?

Reno, I agree with retrodos here. If you really are serious about making your Technics system shine then luckily there are more models of loud-speaker then any other type of Hi-Fi separates. For £2k the worlds almost your oyster. Actually, £500 - £1k would see you right...think B&W, Focal, Monitor Audio, Kef, Rega...you get the point and for that cash would be brand new. £2K on Technics speakers (that are most likely 2nd hand)? I could be wrong but I don't think I am when I say look elsewhere! Still looking for that eBay link mate..... Reno, let me know your thoughts before you spend your 2k

just passed on a sent of Kef Reference Model 2's out here for 599 dollars

and they would be a far better buy for your money

Reno if your assembling a Technics ref set - i'd start with a decent amp first

and the super lovely SL-P 1300 cd player
