Great find but how sad that this once magnificent technology has found itself going for 40 bucks at the thrift store?

O M G.
Do you live in Beverley Hills or something?
Your thrift store compares well with our Harrods!
Fantastic score.

Nah, don't live in Beverly Hills lol. There are 3 thrifts in a 4 mile radius of my work and since I don't work til 2pm I make a loop to check them out almost every time I go to work. I overheard one of the thrift employees that there is a group of old guys that come in and buy up all the old hifi's in the morning. Guess they were sleeping in that day lol. The thrifts get truck loads of stuff through out the day from distribution centers, so who knows what areas these items are coming from. Persistence is the key and getting there early.

Great find for $40 (£27), I would have been all over it. And I have too much kit as it is

Thanks DT, I seen that kenwood from across the store when i first walked in. That volume knob in the center is as big around as a soda can!
