Sharp HiFi NICAM

Thought this was cool looking so bought it. Sharp VC-H93 6 head with Ti coated drum. More head is better right? 
The bad is Mr. Lapy Cheung scribed his name on it and the flouro display is really dim. Haven't stuck a tape in it yet, but for 5 dolla i hope it works.

I haven't seen a VCR like that before. I bet he left it on and that is how the screen became so dim. I hate it when people do that!!

The trick to get the VFD lighter again is to raise the voltage to the screen. Some screens have pot meters, but do be careful. We're talking about fairly high voltages here (17-24 volt)
