anyone have a aiwa 990 tape deck or service manual? I need to find out info on the belt(s), I can get the manual just wanted to ask if anyone might have one before I buy it. I've also seen belt kits for it online but $17 seems overpriced compared to buying the belts individually. Thanks
Have you tried turntableneedles.com ? i get all my belts from those guys they seem to cover everything at a reasonable cost

turntableneedles.com
thanks for the link, they didn't have my model listed but I e-mailed them just now, see what they say
Try these guys,I order belts from them all the time. It will show you how to measure your belt too, because you probably won't be able to find an original Aiwa part numbered belt. It's easy to do even if you don't have a belt to measure.
Belt guys.
is that the same site you gave me for my 880 belts? I found on the partstore.com site a belt listed, I e-mailed them and they say it is available, just not sure if their is 1 or 2 belts. You know that grey flywheel that the 880 has? the 990 tape deck ahs 2 of them so maybe 2 belts? the belts that were on it were totally meltes so I didn't see how many it had
Yes that is the same site. Sounds like you have a big mess for sure.
Hopefully you will get it sorted out.
it's not bad, I have the actual "deck" part out of the chassis and cleaned up just have to figure out the size's of the belts. It also looks similiar to the 880 deck as far as getting the belts on.
