the back comes off if you are trying to get to the cassette you have to remove the tape door and pull all the screws and there is a spring for the door that you have to disconnect and a plug on the top leftside its for a little led thats in the front make sure to disconnect the speaker plug then all the buttons and screws that hold the plastic frame, as you pull notice the bar that holds the cassette door make sure that you pull that in holding it as you pull the frame
