I,ve always found Aiwa to be pretty damn good,i've got 3 aiwa home tape decks that i use, though they are singles, and they are fab,and reasonably priced

ahardb0dy - 2008-10-28 16:06

I like Aiwa also I have a ad-f990U single deck that needs belts, looked on e-bay last night at all the dual decks saw a Tascam that looks interesting.

redbenjoe - 2008-10-28 16:08

component pioneer decks are good.

vladi123456 - 2008-10-28 16:36

I would agree - as far as I remember - the Aiwas were always super good. Despite that, my personal favorite is Technics Cool

ahardb0dy - 2008-10-28 19:12

I'm watching a few tascam decks on e-bay, this one model (302) has what I was looking for auto-reverse both decks, record both decks, it even can record on one side while playing on the other at the same time.

moncheeto - 2008-10-28 19:16

yes tony those tascam are very good most are used for studios i have 2 multitracks one is a cassette and the other is a 24 track digital the 302 202 series are very good

ahardb0dy - 2008-10-28 19:35

thanks for all the replies. What's up Ramon? How have you been? Getting chilly up here 30's tonight!!

daiwa - 2008-10-29 07:51

Buddy of mine has the Tascam 302, and absolutely loves it. I have a whole rack full of tapes that will attest to it's sonic abilities!

tascam 302 manual

ahardb0dy - 2008-10-29 12:42

thanks for the manual I downloaded it last night from tascam's web site, also found out that the tascams are a division of Teac, didn't know that.

daiwa - 2008-10-29 13:48

You'd be right AHB, Tascam was Teac's "pro" series and has long been a studio standard for many decades. The Teac Z-7000 has long been considered one of the best ever made.

TEAC Master Cassette Deck

I wasn't sure how new of vintage you were looking for but this is a Jvc like I have. I like it a lot,it is a model TD-W354BK. I bought mine at goodwill for $9.99 and it works and sounds great and has Dolby B and C. I love the LED display too. Wink This one on Ebay seems a little hight priced,I've seen them sell for a lot less. Jvc TDW354BK on Ebay

ahardb0dy - 2008-10-30 17:37

thanks skippy, I'm concentrating on the tascam right now, I like the dual record capability

ahardb0dy - 2008-11-01 07:19

skippy1969 - 2008-11-01 07:45

ahardb0dy - 2008-11-01 07:57

thanks, I also found a nice sony es that I would have went for if I didn't win the tascam.

eddy - 2008-11-01 10:12

Cool that you went for the Tascam Ahardbody.
You won't regret it.
I worked with these machines in the 80's and they are unbreakable

redbenjoe - 2008-11-01 10:20

nice tony -- i have a bulletproof tascam, also.

the company owns or is owned by teac --all good Smile

ahardb0dy - 2008-11-02 01:09
