yes cris 3 image , if you connect like normal out/ in to your amp only get cue?   i connected to amp via decoder sounds great on playback very clear .

XLR's are balanced
phonos unbalanced

meaning XLR's could use longer length cords - handy in studio set ups

I have nothing on this deck, but it looks like you'll need a pair of these XLR to RCA cables. Or a powered converter to be safe.

Can't seem to find a manual though

claret.badger - 2012-09-04 09:05

as a tape deck - it's only gonna have "loops" on it

I know this deck has a third track for vocal over dubs to stereo tracks - but that input should be clearly labelled I imagine

The phonos should work as well as the XLR's -

I have DAT machines configured the same way

And a Technics amp with XLR in

have at it

It can be hook up to a HiFi does have unbalance input and output RCA jacks, as far as the jumpers, leave them in place, that if you are using a outboard processor, like a DBX NR encoder/decoder.

A "Tascam 133 Service Manual Multi Image Stereo Que Cassette Recorder Reproducer" is available on ebay.com for $24,99 + shipment.

Yet the "Manual Multi Image" may be less useful than expected, at least according to the following post that I found at audiokarma:

Tascam 133..regretting getting the manual!!

I picked this up local for 65.00. I knew nothing about it and was very intrigued about the 3rd vu meter plus there were seperate output controls on all 3 vu meters ... cool! Tried it,works great, sounds good enough to me to be addictive. I had all sorts of fantasies about it maybe being studio equipment or maybe for radio spots... Well I got the manual from ebay last friday and it was made for...tadaaa...slide shows! Talk about a catastrophic loss of coolness! Now I keep getting mental images of weird uncle Earnie and his eternal fishing hat showing out of focus/over exposed slides for hours..maybe to a Slim Whitman sound track! Nice deck though...

The best link seems to be the following. It's in Italian (doh!), but maybe you can make something out of it:
