retrodos - 2012-10-09 18:05

Just bought this one off eBay, is going to be fine tuned for better preformance, going to get a new set of capacitors and upgrades, op-amp upgrades, TI OPA1642 to replace 072, and OPA1612 to replace 2043 and 4558, transport is more likely going to get rebuilt, as don't the quailty of work done to it.

Did just receive the deck, actually worked, as seller replaced idler tire, but nothing else, belt still need to be replaced and deck is dirty, plus logic and amizuth motor has a coat of rust, that need to be cleaned off and transport rebuilt and relube. Power supply going to get a full rebuilt it need it as display flicker, but found that to be cause by cold solder joints. Backup memory battery still good, but going to be replace and op-amp are going to be upgraded and rest of capacitor check and replaced where needed.

Here picture before rebuilt, still have to order parts before restoration can done.

What's the problem with this cassette deck?

After getting with the rust and belt residue, put new fresh oil in bearing looks much better and turns smooth.

Nothing was wrong with it, but was very dirty, no one bother to clean it and the seller did a crap job in fixing it, just did enough to get it working.
