The Next Adventure
The System "X-Periment/The Pleasure Seekers released in 2005.Mic Murphy is the singer and David Frank plays keyboards. They had a hit song in May 1987 called "Dont Disturb This Groove" Title Cut.Another One is Pussy Cat Dolls "P.C.D."80s walkmans rule!Kristi C.
joe jackson put out a new one that is nice.
I downloaded Madonna's latest "Hard Candy". There are some good tracks... (Incredible, 4 minutes (Peter Remix) and Give it 2 Me (Paul Okenfold Edit) come to mind) and but it is an aquired taste. Not as good as "Confessions", but maybe it will grow on me...
from Melbourne... Cut Copy
caribou andorra. - reeks of simon and garfunkel, mamas and the papas but also modern. i love it. the end of the album is fantastic.
My mate Dave went to see a band called Jimmy Jigger Jack Biscuits Bollix last night, which has to be the greatest name since 'Paedos in Speedos'.
Portishead's new album Third is spot on.
i agree AO fantastic piece of work.

I've been picking up lots of stuff in the last four weeks, a lot of really good debuts, some picks below (skipping albums that have been out for ages):
**** Buttons - Street Horrrsing
Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip - Angles
Crystal Castles - s/t
Ashbury Heights - Three Cheers for the Newly Dead
Why? - Alopecia
Mgmt - Oracular Spectacular
Neon Neon - Stainless Style
Also, Mates of States got something in the works that sounds promising. I'm less confident in the new Deathcab for Cutie. And I haven't had time to pick up the new Soman EP which came out last week. That's always good if one is in the mood for harsh techno.
I caught Cut Copy live a few weeks ago, have to say I was somewhat dissappointed. I haven't had very much time to listen to their studio work so I'll give it another chance and see if I can catch them this summer.
Portishead - Third
I got the limited edition box set. It's a work of art.
nick cave - dig lazarus, dig!!! another piece of work from the man himself. and moby - last night. on first listen i fell in love. i didnt revisit it much, but its very impressive that first listen.
i created this thread.. i think... so im gonna change the criteria to include older albums as well. ive got a hunger for new music, so to that end im gonna list my favorite albums that id recommend without hesitation, and maybe we can learn from each other.

bill withers - the best of/greatest hits
had a look through my mp3 player to create this list. i tried to avoid getting into detail describing each one, best keep it clinical and let you find out yourself.
