Wow some great music here!

I am listening to Bryan Adams MTV Live concert dubbed from DVD to a TDK MA. This concert has a rather intimate atmosphere with all-acoustic instruments and string ensemble in the background conducted by the legendary and sadly, late, Michael Kamen.

Sample here:

You just have to love that Irish flute.....

Sorry I didn't find the actual video, only audio

toocool4 - 2011-06-27 01:39

Hey Tuna you are right about the flute, I love the flute at the beginning of the track reminds me of something else but can’t put my finger on it.

On the way to work today I was listening to The Black Eyed Peas – The End

love the last track Rockin To The Beat

James Blake

I like this guy...He's weird.

tuna - 2011-07-07 08:06

Ry Cooder - Borderline

Cooder is definitely unique in his approach - always purposeful, sad, funny, spiritual and even hilarious at moments! I still remember those words: "you should have told me you was married baby... and she pulled up a 45 and let me have it right smack between the eyes! She was guilty, I was dead but that's the way the girls just are in Texas!" He's a genuine entertainer.

Oh yes, another thing worth mentioning is that his albums are usually unprocessed and retain a lot of the original master recording but with excellent final mastering.

What a wonderful track

I love John Barry music, my fave is "Dances with wolves", and I love his James Bond themes.

toocool4 - 2011-07-14 08:32

Yes metad it is even more amazing live, I went to see John Barry conduct at the Royal Albert Hall and also at the Southbank Centre.

I must say I was not that impressed with the Acoustics in the Albert Hall the Southbank was much better.

Interesting rendition Brigadier Vytas, it has a lot of different influences from quite a few music styles there. I can also hear a bit of the “Square Dance Rap” by Sir Mix a Lot in it too.
