right now i'm making a minimal-mix on my two vestax pdx-d35 with some Cobblestone Jazz, Ricardo Villalobos etc. etc., depending on the bravely supporting brew'n booze it might end up in a great hot-jazz and bebop - session, gotta few "new" killin' Gene Krupa , Louis Belsson and early Chick Webb waiting, yeppidiyep, sounds like fun, gotta pull the silk-scarf off the Thorens 124 and spin some 78's, too - there's this Ellington-discs with Belsson drummin' and a Hot-Club home-studio (aluminium !)78' with rare (probably unique...) guitar-bebop, caaaan't wait !
analogue rocks - single-malt as well ;-)

Tried to post this earlier but my mobile devices just could not get it done. I was listening to Dare by The Human League to get the juices flowing before going to see them live! In all honesty this was the sort of thing that would have been playing on my boombox back in the day rather than hip-hop so it was an absolute joy to see Philip Oakey strutting his stuff like it was yesterday. We travelled back in time in an Alfa but it might as well have been a De-lorean. Tonight; me and my girl were in the 80's. No stupid hair do's and no yuppies but it was all the better for it.
