hello,, yup, i've seen a similar to this with a name of kingsport or somthing like that,, it's been very hard to find ghettoblaster here in the Philippines.I think those boombox where not sold here like the Conion C100, panasonic rx 7000 series , neither the jvc rc m90 or m70. i wish i could find one of each brand ...
raiken - 2012-09-05 01:30

Hello, and welcome aboard raiken, the Toshiba RT-S84 has to be one of the most copied
models I can think of.

Fair point!...the getting them is brilliant, its just the waiting for our pathetically slow postal service that's a bit of a bore.
If no one collects or advertises for sale where you are you could always advertise that you want to buy and wait for them to contact you?
raiken - 2012-09-05 03:37
i'd just keep on checking on a selling and advertising site, that is more commonly selling mobile phone, tv units etc.. hoping that someone will post to sell their item

Yeah, Sankei is one of the other names it was under, its what i mostly saw it in the stores back in the day, but its a good box....i've always like the feature that you can put a strap on it from those corner edge bars to carry it....

That can work...I've had a mint one for free off a work colleague that she was going to throw out! The more eyes you have looking out for them the better

Welcome Raiken, that's a great Tosh you got there.
When other companies copy a model, they're tipping their hat to a successful model and I've never heard a bad sounding Toshiba!
raiken - 2012-09-07 19:16
WTF !!,, i think those were mere Chinese brands that copied the Toshiba RtS84 model,, that's too many brand in one model
