Great belts, great price.

rerooted - 2010-07-19 21:37

hi doc p. i have spent the last hour trying to find a link between you and i so i can place an order for some belts to get things moving again. the last batch woked out very well and i have used close to 50% of the belts i purchased. i haqve come to a dead stop the last couple of months due to the fact that i have run out of belts i needed to continue the repairs. i have lots of 1mm belts and also lots of belts that are under 4 in. in total length. i am totally out of the .7mm-.8mm belts that are between 4 and 8 in. of length. i finally got the new ketboard today which is a lifesaver. the players that i am really need to rebelt are these as i am totally out of. i need about 4 belts for the wm-f100. a couple of pairs for the tps-l2. also i need the belts for the wm-7. both of my aiwa hs-f07 are slipping badly. lastly, my aiwa JX505 is about shot. any other belts in that range of .8mm --and 4-8 in. long would fing a home sooner or later. i know i have probably is not the correct way to be ordering. the reason is when i went to school in the 1950's computers were not a word i ever heard of at the time. being in my 60's now i have alot of trouble understanding the new technology not to mention my poor typing. my back is in bad shape so i have trouble sitting for long lengths of time. it is not that i am just lazy it is mostly that i just plain do not understand. if you could put me a batch together and bill me through paypal which i did accomplish the last time i ordered. thanks much...sincerely....rerooted...

zx280 - 2010-07-20 01:43

Definitely the best place for belts. Thanks Doc.

docp - 2010-07-20 07:15

@ Rerooted, don't you worry at all.... I'll put together your pack ...consider it done....Kindly check your Personal Messages/PM

Happy collecting and happy mending folks!

milosancho - 2010-07-20 07:42

Belts I received from Doc have come in very handy. Nowhere else can you find this assortment at this price.

rerooted - 2010-07-20 15:32

hi..i see you're posts up there all the time. dr. p. is an all around good guy. i have bought from him in the past but this new windows 7 is a pain. i like the older version. i have been collecting a few years and have learned alot. my electrical knowledge is about 0 but i manage to get alot fixed with just a belt replacement. i would say 2/3 of the bad ones just need a belt and a clean and lube. i will be watching for your posts and thanks for the email...rerooted.....

rerooted - 2010-07-30 15:00

thanks doc p. for the great supply of belts. i am going to get at least 10-15 silent players back to there good sounding working condition. don't miss out,,,if you do belts now is the time for a real deal and get your players up and running too. always a special thanks to one of our great members. alot of players out there can be done with a little effort so give them a try..THANKS AGAIN....

renzgi - 2010-11-03 13:00

It is truly the best selection of Walkman belt.
Thanks!

DocP you are the best! good job

foteberg - 2011-02-08 14:25

Hey DocP, nice to meet you !
Fotis from Greece speaking..I need belts for my Panasonic RQ-SX50V (RDV0037 & RDV0038) and my SONY WM-EX7 (3-018-177-01) according to service manuals..
Tank you !

rerooted - 2011-06-09 14:55

hi ...doc p.  good hearing from you now that the summer heat is upon us. i know you usually don't carry these sizes but i thought i would give it a try. most all belt sizes i am in very good stock. i need those old w-10 belts. square cut and .05mm thick. any wider and they just jam up. the old sony number was 3- 315- 405- 00. my wm-7 finally quite pulling so both belts are well out of shape and shot. i only have one of these and i should need 2 belts for it. the old sony number was 3-310-146-00. small order ,,i know,, but for summer that is all i need and the economy is slower than one would believe. ...thanks.....george.....rerooted.

docp - 2011-06-10 07:23

Dear George,Not a problem at all with the wm10 belts ...(wm7 I am afraid I don't have, but partstore has them for approx $11 including shipping :http://www.partstore.com/Part/Sony/Sony/331014600/New.aspx) Kindly check your PM, best wishes, P

sonygal - 2011-07-14 15:35

DocP,

can you be so kind to suggest which belts i need for:

here is what i have

sony wm-5

sony wm-d3

aiwa cs-j1sy

thanks

yamahaaudio - 2011-07-14 22:39

DocP, you wouldn't happen to know what size belt I would need for a Yamaha PC-8?

docp - 2011-07-15 01:29

Dear Sonygal and YamahaAudio

Most members measure their belt sizes by spooling a length of twine and then by stretching the looped twine taut , end up with a 'length' that equals half the circumference (total length)...as shown in the picture above (belts stretched taut between pins).

If you are sure of your size requirement I can always send you individual sizes....if not the economical 25 set assortment of all sizes is a good deal for someone serious about collecting and mending walkmans.

Feel free to PM me,

happy collecting folks

DocP

jrs - 2011-07-31 11:10

Hi Doc,

Do you have a belt suitable for a WM-EX662 please?

Also, do you know if it is easy to change the belts on a WM-EX808HG? I'm guessing that the two models share similar size belts if not the same?

Thanks for any advice.

docp - 2011-08-01 18:38

Most later autoreverse models use belts that are approx 65mmin diameter ,0.7mm square cut.

To play safe I can send you only the larger belts(14) from a '25 pack' if you aren't sure of the actual belt size required...

cosmos99 - 2011-08-14 00:55

Hi DocP,

i'm in need of some belts please.

Well i have mesured mine ,those are very used and need to be replaced ,i've measured them like on your photo ,if i've well understood those are set of three for individual belts ?

-9,2 cm(flat so x2 if you cut it) in 0,8 mm

-12,5 cm(flat so x2 if you cut it) in 1 mm

Hope you have some and thank you !

docp - 2011-08-16 05:56

I do have those sizes, don't worry....kindly check your Personal Messages section (PM)

best wishes

P

nak.d - 2011-08-24 11:28

Hi Doc,

Would you advise on correct belt size for WM-75 please?

Thanks!

docp - 2011-08-25 06:08

Sony Part : 3-325-387-01  and it suits Sony WM75/Sony WM-F57/Sony WM-F75/Sony WM-F77/Sony WMF80

Am not sure of the precise size but would based on part number to PRB conversion http://www.circuitsandparts.co..._PRB_Part_Number.pdf

http://www.russellind.com/client/download/belts.pdf.

3-325-387-01  = PRB SCY7.8 (square cut, inner circumference 7.8)

If you hit a NLA I can send you a 'half set' ...only the larger belts in a 25 assortment so that you can choose the best match (& enlighten us )

cosmos99 - 2011-08-27 04:21

Well received my belts Doc ,thank you so much !

nak.d - 2011-08-29 15:07

Thanks Doc, will take a look.

mr.p - 2011-09-08 02:28

Hi Doc, hope you can help.

I'm trying to get hold of replacement belts for Sony WM-EX660 / 662 and Sony WM-EX674 (part of the 670 / 672 series).

Part number for 660 is 3-007-430-01. Unfortunately I can't find a copy of the 674's service manual.

Thanks

A

docp - 2011-09-08 09:29

Welcome to S2G,

3-007-430-01 not showing up in the sizing chart (PRB) below

http://www.circuitsandparts.co..._PRB_Part_Number.pdf

If you can measure your belt size I can provide an exact , if not you might have to try either the 25 belt assortment or 12 of the larger sizes of the assortment (as yours is an autoreverse model )

best wishes

P

mr.p - 2011-09-13 02:24

Hi Doc, I've measured the belts which are somewhat stretched - circumference approx 220mm. I have about 4 Walkman's needing new belts and all are roughly the same size.

So a selection of belts with a circumference of 170mm to 210mm would be great.

Please let me know how to purchase.

PS Thanks for the link. I had found it on the internet but unfortunately it's a supplement only. The main service manual for the WM-EX670 / WM-EX672 covers the WM-EX674 but is chargeable - I'd rather spend the money on some belts as disassembly is generic ! Instruction manual can be found FOC !

Looking for a belt for the WM-7. 78mm x 0.8mm I believe?

I tried with a belt I had, but it's about 1.2mm square, and seems to jam around the small pulley.

Any help would be much appreciated!

docp - 2011-09-18 23:47

3-310-146-00 is now NLA on partstore, let me see if I can fish out a close enough match for you...

patrik - 2011-09-19 01:38

Thanks Doc!

BTW, does anyone have the service manual for the WM-7?

Regards

Patrik

Huge thanks to Stereo2go's own Walkman belt impresario Doc P. I got my belts in 6 days - India to UK in less than 1 week. Sometimes sellers in the UK can't manage that. Reliable, courteous and professional as ever. Thanks Prakash.

You should make a NEW thread or topic ( of your own ) in the cassette tech section titled: something like

(( Aiwa HS-J101 Belt's/service manual needed ))

rather than being buried in this thread where maybe not so many people may see this request

docp - 2011-10-14 07:40

Dear Nick,

I can help you out with the belts...check your PM (and as our good friend James pointed out you might want to post a request for a service manual and suggestions below in the main tech section too ...you'll get some great help from folks who've already handled the model)

best wishes
