That's great John. Congrats. That is an amazing set.
Dear John,
I knew you're the right person for this complete DD100 set.
I have not sold this Boodokhan because I needed money. No !
I wanted to share the joy with this jewel . And,I can see you have this joy.
It was good,
I not have sold on Ebay. But here in the forum.
Enjoy it.
Very nice indeed. Named after a concert hall in japan i believe. Nice to have a real rarity in any collection.
John my friend, i want this unit (for my boxed collection). Ha ha. Wishfull thinking eh. You deserve it. You are a true collector. Me, hell i'm just a blow in. Enjoy it
Thank you all for looking at my topic and I as a collector am most grateful for the compliments. All of us serious collectors part of the reason we do this is the joy of sharing our treasures with others to see and learn about.
To Renato (RENZGI) again my friend I am so very thankful you were willing to sell this nearly perfect complete set to me. The DOL sticker is missing from front of the DD100 but personally most of time I much prefer my players not to have the stickers it detracts most of time from the beauty of the design. Alas the stickers appear often to many collectors to increase value thus I leave them on as someday some of my collection may be sold but never this set.
This topic would not be complete without clearing the confusion sometimes about the BOODO KHAN name and Concert Hall. NOTATION the DD100 spelling is phonetically correct but NOT spelled in manner the actual concert hall is BUDOKAN. From Wikipedia much of following.
The Nippon Budokan (日本武道館, Nippon Budōkan?), often shortened to just Budokan, is an arena in central Tokyo, Japan.
For many Westerners, the Budokan is synonymous with large-scale rock concerts. It was here that The Beatles made their Japanese debut[1] and the location where many "Live at the Budokan" albums were recorded such as CHEAP TRICK Live at BUDOKAN.
The Nippon Budokan, however, was originally built for the judo competition in the 1964 Summer Olympics, hence its name, rendered in English as Martial Arts Hall.
