I recently have been lucky enough to get a blue and a black SANYO ES-P7, which is one of the walkmans I have been waiting for quite a while. This unit is really beautiful, and not comparable with any other walkman ever made. I think that the closer model is the famous SONY WM-701C, but this P7 has a slightly different internals.

This is the thinnest walkman ever made, although it's not the smallest one.

In this view you can see that the internals are quite similar to any 90's SONY or AIWA.

This unit is very tall, so the battery and some swiths are inside the front door, but not making it thicker.

As you can see, there's no button externally; all are under the door, and without the remote cannon be operated. I have only one remote.

My units are not working, but I plan to take them to my technician because -at least the blue one- seems to have a simple belt problem.

Which one is the most stylish walkman for you?

Nice and very stylish photos of the Sanyo ES-P7 Hugo.

Those models are the world version of the original Japanese edition- Espera.

The world version ES-P7 has a volume limitation and was sold mostly in Europe and Asia but not in the US. (??) The Japanese versions were branded Espera and their model number is ES-7.

Indeed, it is a stylish and unique player but IMO the Victor CX-52 is by far surpass the Espera, But I let you be the judge of that.

The VICTOR (JVC) Tepee CX-52 is a classic player exclusively sold in Japan.
It has logic control operation and remote capabilities. It also has a photo sensor to track tape movement for a quick two seconds Auto reverse and music search.
This cassette player has a very unique brushed metal finish with a mirror like effect in a bronze color. It may look like some Sony players like the EX-HG series but they are not in the same class, Sony never made bronze color units.

The Lion, these are indeed so beautiful too.

But to my taste th P7 is still probably the most stylish, and elegant player ever. Well, maybe together with the 701S.

The SONY EX-5, EX-20, the WM-600 and the EX9 are very nice too. And the SONY DD (specially in silver or gold colour), even that old look are very elegant too.

but, it's a matter of taste...
