Promax J1, Intersound J-747s (MusicMaster Super Jumbo)

Hi, am looking to purchase the above mentioned stereo, had one as a kidand unfortunately the dog peed on it. it blew up and was thrown away. mine was a MusicMaster Super Jumbo and was purchased in the Middle East in 1990 so was dual voltage. however was identical to the above mentioned units. it had a motion sensor as well. i know these are rare but would pay well to get a quality unit. I live in the UK. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Regards.

Thank you, the one in the picture is exactly the same as the model I had it just hppened to be labelled as a MusicMaster, I've Google Searched it and can't find one unit or even a photograph of one, just Promax and Intersound but none for sale.

Yes i just Googled Music Master Boombox and it came up with nothing, thats strange,i've never hurd of the name,i've only hurd of Intersound,Promax and Techsonic, there is a couple of other brands but i cant remember them..these are massive, some people say they are abit too big,and clumbsy, not an ideal box to carry around because of its silly size..

I've just remembered the prop one used in the Movie 'Three Kings' with George Clooney was a Music Master, just a piece of useless information. I've tried Ebay global as well but nothing. I'm not really bothered what the Logo says, at 14 I thought it was the business. Still do, battery life was abismal but it had  quality sound and certainly looked the part. The fact it had inputs for CD and I think Phono was even better. A bit like a portable Midi system.

The family mutt peed on it. That was about 15 years ago. It blew everything inside so on the orders of my ex it was thrown away. Hindsight's a wonderful thing. It was cosmetically perfect. Had I thought at the time I'd have dried it out and kept it so if one came up missing buttons and the like I could have fixed it. It'll be in a landfill somewhere. Sorry if it takes me a few minutes to post replies only I'm trying to do so on a blackberry and the site doesn't work that well on it.

Just curious, considering the only difference between the Intersound and the Music Master was the name on the plastic covering the tuner dial and the model label on the back, made in the same factory, why's it the "Junk Kind" like I say, just curious being new to the world of boombox boffins and all.
