This A.B.A. Jumbo MG-6000 appeared in the movie "Friday" with Ice Cube and Chris Tucker. Member "Deech" (Dimitris) sent me it all the way from Athens Greece, wrapped in special commercial-grade bubble wrap he got from a furniture store. Now this is not a very high-quality radio, but it is big and I love its styling, especially how the tweeters are partially covered (perhaps by accident?), and the cool frequency graphs above the tape deck, and especially the beautiful metal-skinned knobs with the perfect grip surface. A trade made in heaven!
It looks like it has a gold tint to it and it's in excellent condition. Boxes with two antenna's always score a few more beauty points! On another note, I'm glad you found some bubble wrap, there's a thread somewhere about the shortage of it over in Europe....
Maybe by accident or else was it a designer idea? Who now knows? Looks a bit strange but, yeah, kinda unique and definitely interesting. May I borrow those good photos to share them with my forum guys?
Great trade gents! Deech is an experienced guy who knows how to ship boomers safely! Nice box Reli. It looks new...
