Still at it Mister X just much lass than I was!! I tend to post the resto's on Facebook as the audience is huge & there are are no issues posting tons of images & video's unlike the 2 forums which have daft limitations on size & posting multiple images can be a right pain the ass!! Have done a few over the last few months but haven't been buying much at all - I need to move more boomers on as I simply have too many despite selling quite a few lately!!
Your work is impeccable and your saving some cool ones so I have no doubt you can unload as many as you want. Who knows, maybe people are listening to the radio more these days. I completely understand your frustration with the images, some of my uploads have to go through a few steps to get them to the right size and then separate uploads for each page......
I'm kind of blue about Miles Davis and boom box photo-op. I recollect reading in a late 1980s audio magazine (Stereophile or maybe Absolute Sound) that Davis was had abundant quantities of audiophile gear in his NYC super high rise condo crib. Stuff like Phase Linear amp & preamp, Klipsch Speakers, R2Rs, Thorens turntable, thousands of albums, et cetera.. Maybe a cassette deck or two. Another thread and story telling, I expect ..... Back to MDQ tunes ..... My assessment of the 'Rubber Band' album is above average, eclectic and mind expanding stuff. Better yet, I've recently been listening to a Miles Davis breakthrough album from 1969, titled 'In a Silent Way'. Get a load of the up and coming musicians he recruited during the late 1960s : Miles Davis – trumpet Wayne Shorter – soprano saxophone John McLaughlin – guitar Chick Corea – electric piano Herbie Hancock – electric piano Joe Zawinul – electric piano, organ Dave Holland – bass Tony Williams – drums https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/in_a_silent_way Recently, during continued "stay at home" closures here in MadCity, I recorded the MDQ album on Maxell UDXL II C-60 cassette. J-Card posted, this album is predecessor to 'Bitches Brew' album, moving towards the new jazz fusion frontier. Anyone have further thoughts regarding MDQ and essential albums? Cheers, Bleusy
