A Sony TC K611s in mint condition. Recently changed over belts and pinch roller. Other is a Sony TC K71. Also in mint condition with new belts and pinch rollers. Was really lucky to find the K 71. Bought it as a non working deck for $45. It turned on but the motors didn't run. Found the semi conductors had broken solder connections so a quick dab with the soldering iron it worked perfectly. Also recently picked up the Tapecorder monitor SB-500. This way I can switch between decks to my amp.

Very nice decks. I've had a K615 and it's a great deck. A bit plasticky to my taste but sounding great indeed. And with good calibration features.
Watching the tape you have there I think I wouldn't mind to swap a mixtape with you ;-)
Take a look at the mixtape swapping subforum...

BTW: Why are you still using photobucket for inserting a photo here?

    Nice!
Looking out for a great looking and sounding deck, I have my eye on something but I believe that the same thing rings true with boomboxes as with cassette decks in that their beauty is in the eye of the beholder, regardless of whether a user thinks one is crap, they are brilliant to another.

I agree. Read some bad reviews on the K611s but mine is working great and the sound is very good too. I just don't see myself spending $500-$1000 for the top of the line ES models. Well not yet anyway. :)

Nice. Such a nice deck. The fonts they used for the lettering scream old school. Is it still encased in wood?

Agree, no the wooden surround is not included but I don't think I like that look.

    Both Decks look beautiful.
What is the red color little component behind the cassette ? is it a walkman?
