Just cranking some early TOOL Demos from archive.org and found this on ebay, maybe one of our members selling off boombox brochures?

The PC-5 has a flight case option! Anybody seen this in person?

I've never seen the handle used on the side of the tape deck also in the 3rd bottom right photos, I never thought about it but now want to see if that works for the other models since I don't think I have a PC-5.

Yea the machine even works with car speakers, those were good times when you could really expand your equipment to "extend audio pleasure!"

Yes I have seen it in person. But I didn't really see what to do with it, as the PC-5 has a good handle normally so not much use to have it in a flight case for carrying it around. Other than protection maybe. Or for the collectibility. But it does really exists. For machines like the Hitachi FT-M2 I understand why its there, because that doesn't have an handle to pick it up. Would love to find that flight case for the Hitachi btw, thats an unbelievable nice machine which I only use stationary now as sort of soundbar for my TV.

Another model we can add to the list, JVC PC-5, Hitachi Lo-D, Marantz CH5, AIWA CB, AIMOR and I'm probably forgetting one or two.

I love these versions but also know how rare the cases are. I'm just throwing this out there but I know the Hitachi Speakers don't do the system justice, the JVC's (going by the models I have) are a little better and the AIWA's are solid. They all sound 10x better with "real" speakers.

I found a rabbit hole! Just looked up making a flight case, lot's of internet info, this one has a French Supplier.
