A couple of months ago I bought a red Wm-22 from a former toy store in Spain: it is a new old stock with box and all accessories, the player is mint and have not been used for 30 years. It required a bit of work as the clutch for FFW/REW was broken (common issue with the wm-22), but now it is back to fully operational still with the original belt. The seller wanted 120 EUR but settled for my offer of 80 EUR; considering the inflation ratio and currency conversion, today's 80 EUR are roughly equivalent to the the 30 GBP it was sold in 1984. Being basically new I though that was a decent price.
Looking at Ebay again 2 nights ago the WM22 have all crawled from the woodwork and are raniging from £50 - £190 for a white one in good condition ....mad!!!!
