Holy crap! This is in a class of its own. I received a message from Hugo earlier this week with a little side comment about the bass on this thing.... and he want wrong On a pair of Beyer DT 770, 880 and 880 Pro, these things are bat shit crazy (sorry, no other word for it). Just waiting for Marian to give me the thumbs up on the gear front... The tatty old case is now headed to the leather workshop for some unstitching, some reverse engineering and im getting 28 made to sell (30 actually, but im pulling two for myself) Will post to a new thread with updates.
Its also got me thinking about the DOL sticker..... this one looks factory fresh, but im equally aware there are many units out there that arent so fresh looking... Perhaps a new sticker project as well?
I wonder when my Boodo Khan will be ripe enough for me to unwrap it since winning it off ebay and the late JohnEdward bumped the price up for me but I still had a high enough bid at that time to win the one I have presently but still not opened from the shipping box! Yes I am a bit funny like that, as I also have about 20 or so unopened boombox's to open an a few 'other' walkmans to open too but for the moment I have to finish the other radios first.
Mmm. A new case for the Bodoo Khan. I'd be interested in purchasing one of the 28 you're getting made. Mine is missing that DOL sticker which seems to be a common issue unless you shell out big money for the rare BNIB ones! Have you had the central gear repaired in this one? I need to do it for mine but of course it doesn't have any effect in the sound output which as you say is about a 9 on the batshitcrazymeter!. These are probably the reason AVLS was developed.
I'd be keen on a case for the Boodo Khan. I didn't believe all the stories on DOL until I heard it myself. DAYUM its loud.
Oh yeah. No comparison to anything else. Would like to hear mine with the original "fan boy" headphones but it's awesome on my Bose phones. That bass is extreme. Here's mine in one of DoubleCee's cases.
Well if I had to reduce my collection down to 2 Walkman it would be the D6C to record on and the DD100 to listen on. So many D6C's available to buy but hard to find a good Boodo Khan that doesn't have a huge price tag.
