    Hello,

My name is Jim. I enjoy taking things apart and fixing them if possible. As most of my cassette players are very old, they have started to develop serious problems that make it difficult to listen to my cassettes.

I found your forum as I was browsing for fixes on the web. Hopefully I can find a solution here.

    Thank you!

Welcome to the forum, good luck with your repairs.

I've found having a big workspace and being methodical helps, lay out all the screws/washers in the order you removed and maybe even tape yourself will help make sure assembly goes easy.

Take lots of photos during disassembly. Then if a wire falls off or something you can look where it came from.

Yes! That and numbering things makes it easier to remember where to put things in.
