I came here by way of Tapeheads when looking for information on how to repair a DD Walkman. I'm relatively new to the hobby, but I got sucked in pretty quickly once I got started A year ago I hadn't even seen a tape in probably 15 years. Then I heard about a Sony retrospective exhibition they were holding at the Sony Building in Ginza before it was scheduled to be torn down. I'm a big Sony fan so no way I could miss that! It turned out to be a great exhibition, showing famous products Sony has produced starting with a wooden rice cooker from 1945. One of the highlights of the show was an entire wall of Walkmans: There were so many models there I had never even heard of, so I started researching online, and my fate was sealed First I bought one Walkman, then realized to use it I would need to record some tapes, which lead to the purchase of a full size deck and whole bunch of blank tapes. Then I realized the deck was not working properly, which lead to belts, test tapes, mirror tapes, torque tapes, etc, etc. It's been an adventure, but I've finally gotten to the point where I can just record and enjoy tapes on my Walkman! Looking forward to contributing here! P.S. If you like Sony, have a look my full gallery from the Sony exhibition! Truly one of the great innovators of the 20th century.

Thanks for sharing the photos. The funny thing is I have loads of Sony Gear Six Boomboxes Four Discmans Four Walkmans Five Shortwave Radios Two Cellphones and a laptop Yet the only Sony item I own that I saw in the photos was the PS One with the LCD. It makes you realise how many products Sony made. p.s Love the look of the Red Hit Bit computer
