Hello. I’m Frances Eve but go by Evie. Currently an OK resident but really am a Texan. First device of my own was a Sony Walkman. It was an early 90’s model, more of a curved design than boxy. Next, I got a personal Sony CD player that was a late 90’s model that I have stored but would like to bring it back out. been trying to replicate a home stereo system by looking into vintage stereos, but ultimately I’m overwhelmed. but what brought me here today is that I purchased a ‘83 Sharp GF-500 boombox, from a garage sale. Hoping to learn a new hobby to learn about repairing the cassette deck. I have so many cassettes that I’d love to hear again…as well as CDs.
