War of the Gargantuas hit the late night TV movie circuit around 1975 and us kids were stunned how great this movie was compared to the somewhat bizarre Godzilla Sequels that got kind of goofy, even for us very young kids. Of course the original Godzilla is a classic but a lot of the copy-cats or sequels were more like the Three Stooges. Eating people was a new concept for us but shortly after this, Night of the Living Dead also hit the late night TV groove. What's not to love explosions, cool models and a great story.
