Hi, just started vintage stuff as a hobby really and finding my way round, recently cleared my Dads attic and few a old loved stuff. hopefully this will be one of my fonts of knowledge on my journey of messin with old. hopefully i can add to the community aswell theres always something thanks for reading Chris
Welcome to the forum! The fact your dad held on to this precious equipment shows how much us older folks loved it. Boomboxes, Walkmans and music were a huge part of the culture growing up and sometimes when we hear old songs we can remember specific events tied to those songs, and equipment. I feel bad for kids nowadays that don't listen to music a lot and won't have those generational music recollections when they get older.
