Hey guys, been awhile since I posted, but still searching for boxes.. So I scored a mini gf777 lol. Emerson ctr965. Paid a whopping $15! At that price I had to add to my collection. Some cleaner around the outside of box and switches and ALL works except for cassettes of course they need belts. So anyway have opportunity to pick up 2 Macdonald aka's. A Jcpenny and a pulser2. Difference is one has round speaker the other has square cover over it. Asking price is fifty each. I'm thinking more like 35-40 since they're not that popular, but I like the look. Any thoughts guys. How is the sound on these akas. For reference I really like the sound from my Sanyo 9935k, bass and highs, is nice! The Emerson gets loud but not as clear and the highs disappoint. Now the symphony from my Lasonic 935, that was my first box, and still my favorite
I have a scan of the 1980 catalogue but there wasn't much of a choice that year. p.s While looking for these it was great to see Matchbox toy cars in an American catalogue.
