    NEC RM-1000RE from 1978. NEC had some really neat equipment in the 70's, very similar to JVC, kind of a smaller company with very cool equipment. Unfortunately the boomboxes never caught on big. I'm not sure but I think NEC (Nippon Electric Company) also made entry-level Nippon Boomboxes?
