Sansui Personal Cassette Players seem to be pretty rare, I picked up a couple to round out my collection, the FX-W50R and it's little brother the FX-W30R. The only real difference is the addition of the radio on the larger unit but I also find the aqua logo on the smaller unit interesting. I feel that the aqua logo was the time they were struggling to keep business going and most of their equipment was being redesigned to reflect that. Another interesting feature is the ability to use a plug with the larger unit, something I never see on a unit this size.
I also have one; they seem really rare to me. Mine, however, looks like a licensed model. Probably a SHARP.
While I love all things Sansui, the personal cassette players seem to be an afterthought. The company seems to have hit hard times around the early 80's and the players look like these were sourced out. Some of the boxes are really nice, it would be nice to know some history of them.
