    Hallo Jorge
thank you very much for your reply and your
    assessment.
I am going to read through your instructions once more now, very carefully, and try to understand them. However, I already know that I will still have questions—which I will need to ask again—in order to fully grasp everything. I am a beginner and, unfortunately, not a professional.
    I hope that is alright?
I will get back to work on this by the weekend at the latest and then get in touch.
    Thank you, and best regards.

@Chen Bin - as always, there are other options but those are a bit more complicated:
    a) remove IC306 and fix defective via
    b) carefully scrape/clean defective via from the other side of the board, expose some extra copper for the solder to 'bite', insert one strand of copper multistrand wire and with a Lot of extra flux add solder. This cheap trick may work, but usually does not

Where did you get your Service Manual for D-555 - it is very good! Mine is just a black&white freebie

@Marc2025 - no worries, we have a few professionals at S2G but I am definitely NOT one of them. Hopefully your problem is the same as with D-555 mentioned by Chen Bin. In my Step-by-Step from yesterday this is the first thing for you to check: power and ground to IC306. Since you have a multimeter, this part is easy.

@Jorge, when you see the manual at that website click "D-555" to download.
