I didn't see anything in the post, tried looking him up and there's a lot of stories planted around the internet. I'm not sure what the purpose of the post is besides to ask cassette related questions?

Since I don't use Facebook, I read the article here [https://www.headphonesty.com/2026/0...r-reasons/?utm_source=fb&utm_campaign=caption]. The three new offerings are, well, not only sad but an insult to what was once the ultimate portable player, some of them reaching home deck quality. While I commend some of the vendors out there who have gone through tedious re-manufacture of some replacement parts, my bigger concern is what happens when the playback head is totally worn out? As far as I know, no one is making high quality playback heads anymore. That is not something you will be able to crank out from a resin 3D printer, CNC machine or through cast molding.
