On my Sony Walkman WM-3, the hot line button works (i.e., it reduces the volume), and the mic picks up sound. However, it makes crackling sounds when the hot line button is wiggled, even when it is not engaged, and the mic is off. I did use contact cleaner on the switch, more than once, but it is still there. Is this normal, or do I have grounding issues? Thanks –
