The forgotten collabration, Sony D-50 and Bose Speakers!

A just posted a killer brochure from 1985 for the Sony D-50 in that thread if you like looking at eye candy. Doing a little diving I found this video, I think the guy is former head of Bose? The translation isn't complete but he does talk about the Bose and Sony collaboration. Apparently Sony had such a good audio reputation that other companies were looking for these co-ops.

I just found these videos, there might some other gold in them since their named after the big dog at Sony. If you go to settings you can auto-translate into your langauge.

 

I found this 1987 Bose Catalog, they advertise the speakers as well as the little amps. I don't own any Bose but I do like the "photographer" look with the neat camera stands.

 

I was looking for more information on the US-25, the model that looks like a boombox. The script just talks about how Bose matches amps with speakers. I'm wondering what the unit to the right of the amp is, I don't see it anywhere else in the catalog. It might be something unimportant like a media tray.
