Step right up, ladies and gentlemen, and prepare to be amazed by the wondrous GoldStar TSR-590 Stereo Cassette Recorder! It's like hopping into a musical time machine that will transport you straight back to the fabulous '80s. So, let's dive into this portable powerhouse and experience the magic together!

First things first, this groovy boombox packs a punch with its dual 5-inch speakers delivering a whopping eight watts of stereo sound. That's right, your eardrums won't know what hit them! And don't worry about your favorite tunes sounding wonky because this bad boy comes equipped with tone and balance controls, ensuring that your music is perfectly balanced and hitting all the right notes.

Oh, did I mention the stereo/mono switch? You can switch it up depending on your mood. Feeling like diving into a deep pool of immersive stereo sound? Flip that switch to stereo! Need a quick mono fix? Well, the TSR-590 has got you covered.

Now, let's talk about the cassette portion. It's not just your ordinary cassette player, my friends. No siree! This baby comes with all the essential functions you could ever dream of. You've got your standard play, fast forward, and rewind buttons, along with cue/review and pause controls. Fancy, right?

And that's not all! The TSR-590 is equipped with high-sensitive condenser microphones, making recording a breeze. Plus, automatic level control (ALC) ensures that your recordings sound as smooth as butter. Say goodbye to wonky audio levels!

But wait, there's more! This fantastic machine boasts a four-band radio receiver that can tune in to AM, FM, SW, and LW. Whether you're craving some old-school tunes or you want to catch up on the latest news, this radio has got you covered. And with the automatic frequency control (AFC) and a V-shape telescopic antenna, you'll experience FM reception that's so good, it'll make you want to break out the disco moves.

Keep an eye on the signal strength, recording levels, and battery life with the nifty built-in pointer meter on the slide rule tuning dial. No more guesswork involved! And speaking of FM, the TSR-590 comes with an FM stereo indicator lamp, making it clear as day when you're soaking in those glorious stereo vibes. Oh, and let's not forget the dial light, because who says you can't boogie down at night?

Now, let's talk portability. This wonder machine can be powered in not one, not two, but three ways! Plug it into an AC outlet when you're chilling at home, rely on eight D-size battery power when you're out and about, or even hook it up to your car battery for a road trip extravaganza. You'll never have to worry about your music mojo being cut short!

But what about private jam sessions? Fear not, my friends! The TSR-590 comes complete with a stereo headphone jack, ensuring that you can groove to your heart's content without disturbing your neighbors. And if you feel like sharing the love, you've got an external microphone, external speaker, and auxiliary jacks at your disposal.

Now, let's wrap this up with some technical specs. The frequency response on the CrO2 tape ranges from 60 to 12,000 Hz, so you can enjoy crisp, clear sound across a wide spectrum. And weighing in at a mere 4.5 kg, this lightweight wonder is a breeze to carry around. Your shoulders will thank you!

Dual antennas always look good! I'm a big fan of the mid-size boomboxes, they don't get a ton of respect but if you line them up, they are close in size and kind of look the same but they have all kinds of different design cues. I wonder how many used the same tape transport because that part can look identical with the tape counter right under the deck and the piano buttons on top.

Thank you for your comment! Yes, I agree that this shape of the boomboxes probably was the most popular all over the world. To be continued!
