Whitesnake's Boombox

    I was catching up on some heavy metal news and caught this photo with what looks to be a really cool boombox in a flight case, very similar to the James Bond Marantz Model, or maybe AIWA Compo or something similar. The photo is labeled 1980 and is part of a limited book release showcasing Whitesnake in their early days.

    Nice Catch Mystic! There's a reason Whitesnake had that box it's freakin beautiful. Rumor is that Coverdale had that crankin with some nice looking young women and he got his inspiration for Slide It In! The women thought he might meant one thing but the roadie knew to slide the stereo right to the top (of the box)....

    The James Bond Marantz is the little MS 53 Micro System in the flight case, in past threads it had this name....
