My ex was the same...tolerated the boxes but didn't like them or understand why I collected them. Certainly disapproved of buying more. I don't understand really why doing something that makes you happy is a bad thing! There's certainly no one quite like my girlfriend, she's a one off

From what I could find , tag beer is short for dog tag beer, it would seem that it is a beer to help and honor soldiers.

 

I google Tag beer and all I could find was the Dog Tag beer you mention. I actually just googled Tag bier and found plenty on it!...it's from Brazil apparently
