Found this cool website from former AIWA Employees that looks to be fairly new with posts as recent as last week.

I've got it running through the google translator, feel free to adjust for your country, it's worth it.

Ready for a shocker? The author claims, through ads and books, that the Crowncorder CRC-91ooF is the first radio-cassette player to make it to the JDM market! Beating the AIWA TPR-101 by weeks. You can see the spine on this magazine with the year.

There's other great pages with speakers, portables and the Sony-AIWA Connection.

I think I have a P-171 out in the shop, I'm curious about the model number, the author is looking for AIWA's first speaker SC-1.

    Corrected to JDM, whoops.

The Radio Museum Website is always off on the years on every radio I've looked at over there, I'm going with the magazine's date and the internal photos of the product, just like the author of the blog.

The Concord looks cool! We should have a list of the early boomboxes, more seem to pop up all the time.
