Hello, Would you be able to repair my WM-D6C? The belt has already been replaced, but there are a few other issues with the device. Here is a list - Auto stop activates once or twice before a tape can be played properly - Fast forward and rewind are not working - One of the wires on the circuit board has come undone and needs to be resoldered. Issues: - Motor spins fast when PSU is connected; could the CX20084 chip be faulty? - FF/RW work, but no sound from headphone/line-out jacks during play. - Belts and rubber parts need replacing. - If possible, I'd like a full refurbish. What are the problems as I have worked on these a lot. Leonardo is an excellent one to work on these. They are not all that easy to repair.

I know how it can be- I was off mine off and on as in Radio and Video tape but when I was not on my bench I was on someone else's bench. The basics come back pretty fast.
I see these on Yahoojapan. Sony CRF-330K Original Users Manual, Original Sony Service Manual in Japanese, (3) Original Sony Catalogs-Sony Brochures-Dealer Catalogs in Japanese. Any ideas how to get them? Is there a way to post anything on Yahoojapan & have them put them on EBay?

There is a person on EBay that has a lot of Factory Brochures & Write Up’s including all the Sony CRF-330K everything that Sony ever produced ever including the 3 Sony Service Technical Service Bulletin’s which I don’t have. Very interesting and a very noble job, you definitely have to have the right heart for doing what’s right for children, especially in a school setting. That’s awesome about your job, and how coincidental I run a business that my father started back in the late 50s. Cool radios to go in cool cars! Some of those old radios could be used to anchor a boat lol.

New is a relative term. Even an unused one does not make it new just unused. The greases and belts will have decayed with time and I have restored a bunch of these in 50 years. Not looking for more business as I have too much now- just letting you know about aged units.
