I was referring to the adapter block from 8 pin green Sony connector to 3.5mm, so you can’t use remote.
Standard accessory of DX100 and also 700 series.
I like it except on the 702 it means the adapter is facing down, so the jack extends below the bottom of the device. Kind of annoying.

I have recently found this IG channel, not affiliated. I have not purchased yet but intend to do so:

Update: I ordered one from the seller. When it is in as part of a larger order and the DX100 is up to it, I’ll post my findings. Perhaps I can use the DX100 remote on the 702 as well, did not try yet.

I received the adapter cable and it is a Sony original part.
It works great in for the WM-DX100. That remote (RM-10D) also works on the WM-702.

Except for the fact that the connector is protruding and prevents the 702 from laying flat.

The advantage is that you can set it upright, which in turn the 9-pin to 3.5mm adapter block prevents as the input is then on the bottom of the unit.

For anyone interested, here is the info on the adapter:
    - Model: EC220
    - Type: A1-0610 1264-8486
    - Made in China
It is hard to read, part of the mold it seems of the 3.5mm female jack side of the adapter cable.

Last week received some very nice Sony earphones...some lady was selling a bunch of audio cables but in the one picture the add had i saw a Sony roll up box. She only wanted € 2,- for them so i sent her a message that i was interested. Next day she replied that the ones on the picture were already sold but she had some other Sony buds but she wanted € 7,50 for those. She sent me some photos and was like yeah i'll have that deal...

They look like MDR-E747 but are actually MDR-E743 which i can't hardy find anything about except a post on a Chinese forum, see link
https://www.jdbbs.com/thread-1126137-1-1.html (use google translate, MDR-E history from the first model to the current ones with photo's)

According to the Chines forum post these buds came with the Sony D-626 Discman and that they are an upgraded version of the 471. I own two sets of 741 and these 743 blow them out of the water..much more balanced sondstage with a punchy bass, actually really like the sound of these MDR-E743.

Also scored these last week for a staggering € 20,-

Never owned these 484's before but i understand why they are reconned to be the best buds...sound stage is incredible and they blow the rest of my MDR-E collection away.

    Center MDR-E484,
    Clockwise left to right: MDR-E743, MDR-WME633 + ED136, MDR-E741, MDR-EW34E + E741

Hey! That E743 looks cool! Do you have an MDR-E747 to compare it with? The 743 might be the same in a discman accessory version instead of the standalone stock version of the MDR-E7474, maybe the quality is somewhere between.
Congrats for the 484! WOW! How/where could you buy that for this amount of money? It requires a ****load of luck :)
For me from the series, the best maybe is the MDR-E282, but the 484 is always very close to me. Unbelievable lows and overall sq.

    @DrZoidberg
you're saying what i was thinking, they are E747 but with an (Japanese?) accessory number, these E743 have a short cable and a straight plug which defines it was used with a remote. I can't see any difference between the two but maybe the E743 has a different cable from the E747.
And i source these locally, many people just see them as old earbuds that they won't be using anymore. With E484 i just put in a cheeky bid and the guy accepted.
But the Sony gods have been shining down on me lately, last few weeks a mint WM-A602 for € 15,-, WM-EX1 for $0,99, mint WM-EX50 for € 25,- :D

And you are probably going to hate me but today a set of MDR-E848's arrived in my mailbox, same lady, same price, € 7,50
Can't seem to upload photo's atm.

Exactly. Should be the same or close. Gonna try to find some info on those 743s. I think the shorz cabled 757 has a straight 3.5 jack plug.
Good for you I have my share of totl sonys, but I'd certainly need such a source too. Do you live in the States?
The 848 should be awesome too, tjough I never heard that. The 888 is very good for sure. I'd put on my very rare, pristine E265 yesterday and it sounds incredible. These old Sonys are something else. They obliterate 90% or more of today's earphones.
