Hi All, I'm 80 years young, and until retirement a few years ago I had 60 + years in broadcast TV, Satellite and networks, with a personal passion for sound/audio. My JBL Pro home theater is my daily go to - to decompress from retirement activities. I was a Sony Broadcasts dealer in Florida, where I acquired the TPS-L2 I would like NOW to sell, and pass this original Walkman to a collector. I'll be posting it on a thread, where should I add this original owner, original box, including the Sony Warranty card and all accessories, in original condition?
Welcome to the forum! 60 years through the golden age of radio where young kids have no idea how big it was to a few generations. I was just thinking the otherday about the 250th birthday coming up, back in 1976 it was a huge deal all over the culture. Remember the vans and the start of massive car stereos? Car stereos and radio were everywhere, my little town had over 20 unique interesting stations with very different formats. Here's the Coca-Cola Denimachine, trimmed in Levi's Denim, the contest to win this was blasting on every radio station for weeks in 1976 https://www.fromtheroad.ford.com/us/en/articles/2025/ford-denimachine-van-collaboration-levis-coke
