I have a set of Aiwa HP-M11 earphones with one side dead. I verified it was not a wiring problem. I disassembled it as much as I could without seeing how to fix it. Probably a damaged winding. There is no conductivity through the winding. Next I bought a set of HP-M10's off eBay that were described as having one side working. Since they use the same speakers as the M11, I would move the good speaker to the M11's. However when the M10's arrived neither side worked. So much for that idea. I bought a set of: https://www.amazon.com/Gumps-grocery-Internal-Speakers-40MM-8R-1/dp/B0DG5P3NZQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_4 These work, and are a perfect physical fit, but they sound awful. Another set of M11's with the original speakers sounds excellent. So my question is what speaker I should buy for the M11's? I believe the specs are: 32ohm 30mm diameter with metal mount 15mW.
These were the best match I could find. The electrical specs match and the sound is excellent. I can't tell the sound from the originals. They require a lot of delicate plastic shaving of the black plastic rear housing and the speaker frame itself to get the rear housing to clip into the metal grill with the speaker inside. Many vendors sell these. This is the cheapest source I found. Peanuts. Note that an order of (1) gets you (1), not 2. https://www.ebay.com/itm/146945902171
